I’m Kelsey Lubetich, and I created Quenelle Bakery to share my lifelong love of baking outside of my friends and family and into the wider local community.

Quenelle Bakery creates delightful baked goods in a shared commercial kitchen in Poulsbo. We can be found every Saturday at the Poulsbo Farmers Market. We offer a range of products for enjoying at the market and at home, including cookies, cakes, sweet breads, granola, and sandwich loaves. Our pizza dough and pizza sauce are best savored with other fresh and locally grown ingredients found at the market.

I have been excited about baking for as long as I remember. While studying at Central Kitsap High School, I would spend my free time baking, perfecting classic recipes and experimenting with new ones. My classmates were only too happy to offer themselves as taste testers as I brought in samples each week. I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Physics at Scripps College, a women’s college in Claremont, California, before deciding that baking would be my bread and butter. I enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, California. Missing my hometown, I moved back to Silverdale and arranged to complete my culinary studies with an externship at Farm Kitchen Bakery in Poulsbo in 2015.

Since then, while continuing to bake at Farm Kitchen, I looked for more ways to serve the community and joined the board of Kitsap Fresh. Kitsap Fresh is an online farmer’s market with over thirty local producers — farmers, bakers and others — which delivers goods to pick-up locations for customers throughout Kitsap County.

I opened Quenelle Bakery in 2020 as a way to offer the food my friends and family enjoy to the wider community. All products are baked locally at Farm Kitchen, which leases its commercial kitchen to us. We use only Shepherd’s Grain flour, a co-op of grain growers in the Pacific Northwest. Welcome to our website, and we hope to meet you at the Poulsbo Farmers Market.
